Searching for Glory tells the story of Joseph Smith Jr., one of the most fascinating characters in 19^th century American history. He was a man revered by some and reviled by others. Regardless of what you think of Joseph, this historical novel based on his life is not to be missed. Other characters in this book drew me in and rounded out the drama inherent in the history. The author pulls from informational sources that were not always readily available to those of my pre-internet generation who were raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. If church history had been told in this way when I was a teen and young adult, I would have been way more interested in it way back then.
