"I have really been obsessed with Time travel books lately. Many of them feature attractive women who are somehow sent back to the Scottish Highlands or some British setting, and they all find a love interest. This book actually features a man who is doing the time traveling. Alan, a recent widower, takes his young son back to the scene where his wife was killed. Although it is a dramatic premise, this book is not full of drama. In fact, it is an amiable book filled with friendship, loss, love and even parenting. I was waiting for the predictable storyline and the usual time traveling element. It turned out differently than I expected. It was a good read. A fast page turner that I really enjoyed."
"As a kindred spirit (an independent writer), I enjoy reading other author's work. I have always been a fan of the concept of time travel and tend to look for books of that persuasion. In "Love Lost: The Accidental Time Traveler", Mark Fouyer has written a book that can be enjoyed by all who wish to escape our modern world's problems for a short trip into a more pleasant reality.
I was hooked from the start of this book and looked forward to what I knew would be a memorable ending; Mark didn't disappoint. The characters were well drawn and the situations were colorfully and plainly described."
"I found this book very difficult to put down and plowed through in two days, which for me is the fastest I have read any book. The characters were well thought out and I had no problem putting a visual on each one. The plot was original for a Time Travel story simply because the main character does not spend most of the book in the past. Instead most of the book is spent in the present and to some this may defeat the purpose of a time travel book, but in actuality it made the book much more interesting as the plot unfolded.
This is more of a 4.5/5, my all time favorite book is 11/22/63 and when I think of that book I think of 5 stars. This original work from an independent author comes close to matching the enjoyment of that book and if you are a fan of time travel books from independent authors like John A. Heldt you will really enjoy this book.
Fantastic read and a great way to get lost for a few days!"
